Ross

Ross holds responsibility for ensuring HUGO BOSS is race ready and is overall project manager for both boats and their crews.

Ross started sailing at the age of 19, starting his career at Clipper Ventures working his apprenticeship as a deck hand and crew. Within 2 years he had completed his Yachtmaster and became the youngest skipper to win the ARC Transatlantic Rally, as well as breaking the previous race record. Since he started sailing in 1999 he has completed 16 trans-Atlantics, one round-the-world race, and a Southern Ocean passage.

In 2003 he joined Alex Thomson Racing, working alongside Alex preparing his Open 60 yacht for single handed Round the World Challenges . In 2006 he was promoted to Boat Captain and now assumes full responsibility for Alex Thomson’s race campaigns.
